Part of a series of six programmes for Australia’s 1988 Bicentenary about the evolution of the island continent and its animals and plants. Three of the programmes were produced by David Parer for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Natural History Unit with BBC, PBS and the Australian Heritage Commission.
